We love our Hockey!
It constructs character! Our players are granted the opportunity to progress and share in the joy of participation. Hockey is undoubtedly one of the most popular activity offered at Onze Rust Primary.
This popularity, coupled with a team of highly motivated and skilled coaches (Provincial Representatives), has secured our school’s reputation as a challenging strength at league level. Competing against other schools in our province is enjoyed and annual tournaments take place.
Age Groups:
Hockey is offered to five age groups of players: U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12 and U13. Two teams per age group, is entered into the league.
Times, Venues, Practices and Matches:
Practices are held on school grounds. Days and times of these practices vary according to age group – the Term programme needs to be consulted for details.
When match take place at different school grounds, players are transported to and from venues by school transport, if parents are not able to assist in this regard. We participate in the Motheo leagues. (Third Term)
